Gena Galindo is an El Paso resident who attended El Dorado High School. She has played on three different teams, including:

Family

Basketball has been a big part of Gena's life. She has two older sisters who compete in basketball, Anika (Allen Univ. Columbia, SC.), and Kayla (UT-Permian Basin, Odessa, TX.). Gena thinks very highly of both, and gave her thoughts on Kayla..

Gena also excels in the sport of volleyball. In recent years, the El Dorado volleyball program has been one of the top teams in the city. A major reason for the team's success has been the play of senior defensive standout Gena Galindo. She's anchored the defense the past four years and has been a leader in helping the Aztecs into the Class 5A playoffs as the No. 2 seed out of District 2-5A this season. Sister Kayla

In two years at Abilene Christian, it was an up and down experience for Riverside graduate Kayla Galindo. In her first season, she started 15 games and averaged 6.3 points per game. But her sophomore year, her time on the court diminished as she played in 22 games. But the talented guard has found her place on the court again this time for UT-Permian Basin in Odessa, where she is averaging 10.2 points and has 24 assists. UT-Permian Basin is a Division II school, which competes in the Lone Star Conference. Read more..
